
Over the years, the Discovery Channel has grown internationally to become one of the most highly regarded channels on the digital TV platform. They now command a strong and loyal viewing audience and in early 2008, the team approached Dog after being impressed by the promotional work we'd carried out for a variety of other clients.
The remit was to launch and digitally promote a completely new programme, based on martial arts, to a global audience. We worked in collaboration with the Discovery Channel team to develop a sophisticated, yet straightforward, flash-based site that could be translated into 18 different languages. This proved to be a fantastic showcase for the programme.
We created a Facebook application that encouraged viewers to generate content directly from the social networking site. The result was not only an outstanding success but also led to the foundation of a fruitful working relationship between the Discovery Channel and ourselves.
