The current site for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games was commissioned in late 2009 and launched in March 2010. At this stage, the prime objective of the site is to continue the communication process with the public and all major stakeholders. Gordon Arthur, Director of Communications Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee, "The city has a strong history of staging world class events and the website is key to portraying the build up and progress towards it".
“This web site is a major part of our communication strategy and Dog Digital immediately impressed us with their understanding of the key requirements, their mix of creative flair, technical expertise and strategic consideration. The site is designed to show the story so far and will evolve as we get closer to 2014. We needed to ensure that the site conformed to the required accessibility standards whilst ensuring the latest internet applications were incorporated to enhance communications."
The site was developed on the Alterian CMS platform and contains a wealth of functionality and rich media, including images, video and the Games timeline. The fruits of Dog's labour are now visible on the site. Watch this space as Dog Digital play a major role in the build up to the Games in 2014!
