
When Kshocolat appointed us as their new digital marketing agency in July 2008, our first task was to create a successful e-commerce site that could also support the distinctive Kschocolat brand. The new site focused on giving the consumer as much information as possible. Results were significant. Conversion rates more than doubled between the old and new sites, from 1.8% to 4%.
To really make the most out of the increased traffic streams we proposed the creation of an online marketing database with a parallel email marketing/viral mechanic. As an introduction to the brand, we would allow Kshocolat's target market free bags of chocolate. The “Kshocolat Email/Viral” campaign surpassed all expectations and generated over 40,000 profiled prospects within 3 working days. The company has since been able to convert these prospects into loyal customers.
Analysis following the campaign saw the site's unique visitor numbers increase by 53%, bounce rates decrease by 145%, and the number of returning customers rise by 21%. Visitors were spending much more time on the site too. The campaign led to a huge increase in word of mouth advertising with internet users taking to social networks, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and forums, to discuss Kshocolat's promotions and products.
